Melony Vodka

1 Whole Watermelon and A bottle of Vodka (I used strawberry Smirnoff...:D)

Wash Your watermelon


Cut a circle at the top of the watermelon and scoop/dig as far as you can (keep the top...do not eat or throw away)










Pour in as Much Vodka as you can, Half a bottle should do..(p.s:- this is a really strong drink)

Put the lid back on, and put in the fridge for about 6 hours preferable overnight


















When you are ready, simple take out the lid and dip in your straws....:)

Garlic Bread and Salsa :):)

Salsa :- 1 tomato(chopped), 1 red onion (chopped), 2 to 3 tablespoons Cilantro (chopped), 2 chilli peppers (chopped), 2 tablespoons olive oil....Mix all the ingredients in a bowl....VOILA

 I forgot to take a picture after mixing all the ingredients together, but you can see it at the right hand corner of the next picture.... slightly

p.s:- ignore the lime..

Garlic Bread:- 1 or 2 Baguette, 3/4 cup of butter, 6 tablespoons garlic and 1 tablespoon parsley(chopped)


Mix the butter, garlic and parsley in a bowl
Cut halfway into the bread in quarters
Put the mixture in all the cracks and on top of the bread
Wrap in foil and Put in the oven for about 20 to 30mins (longer if you want it more brown or crispy)

Shrimp and Gizzard Sauce

you'll need: shrimps, gizzard, cooking oil, diced hot peppers(optional) diced bell peppers, and diced onions
Cook: 
-season and boil your gizzard
-put a little oil in a saucepan and heat it up for a minute
-add your diced onions 
-add your diced bell peppers
-add your hot peppers
-add your cooked shrimp
-add your cooked gizzard
-let cook for about 5/10mins
-DONE

Ikokore (Water Yam Porridge)


You'll need: 1/2 tuber water yam (called yellow yam in some places), palm oil or canola oil, onions, 2 tomatoes, 1 red pepper(tatashe), 2 hot small peppers(rodo), salt, maggi and other spices
Optional: Spinach, smoked turkey, dry fish, shrimp, crayfish






Instructions
1) blend the tomatoes, peppers and onions (leave a little bit of onions diced for frying)
2) Put some oil or palm oil in a medium sized pot 
3) When the oil is hot, put in your diced onions, let fry for 30secs
4) Add your blended pepper, salt, maggi and other spices to taste, cover and let cook for about 10/15 minutes
5) peel, wash and grate the yam


6) add the optional ingredients to the stew


7) spoon the grated yam into the stew and let cook for a minute



8) cover and let it cook for about 15-20minutes
